Ennismore ride - June 17 2015

28 cyclists including Pete Gardner’s brother Tim met in Rotary Park beside Chemung Lk at the west end of the causeway on an ideal day for cycling.  Pete MacLoghlin & Jim McIntosh led (or tried to lead!) 20 cyclists on 35 km ride while Conrad Hill led the rest on a 25 km ride by taking a shorter route.  From Rotary Pk we all cycled uphill on Yankee Line to Tara Rd. Cycled north on Tara past The Quarry Golf Club into Ennismore. Then west on Ennis Rd which has a short hill climb past the Tamarac Golf Club to Boundary Rd. North on Boundary which for another hill climb with a view of Pigeon Lk as you ride down to Skyline Rd & east to Inniscara Rd where we seperated. Conrad's group continued to ride east on Edendeery Rd (the continuation of Skyline) while Jim led the others north on Inniscara to Kerry Rd cycling east across Cty Rd 16 (Tara) to Youngs Cove on Buckhorn Lk before returning to Edenderry where we met Conrad’s group. Rode west to Robinson Rd then south to Listowel Line (Cty Rd 17) & a short jog east to Brick Rd then south to Ennis Rd where the 2 groups split to meet at Jesse’s. Jim led a ride east on Ennis Rd to Ennismore Waterfront Pk on Chemung Lk returning on Ennis to Brick, south to Skyline Rd, west to Tara Rd & south to Jesse’s (292-9175) where we were served lunch in a private dining area
