Wed Nov 5 2014 - Cavan Ride from Baxter Greek Golf Club

11 Dudes met Robin Maughan in the Baxter Creek Golf Club parking lot on a cold, windy, & overcast day for a 10:00 start. From the golf club we cycled west on Cedar Valley Rd into a strong headwind up & down a few hills to Hutchison Dr. North on Hutchison with a long hill climb to Larmer Line which has a long rather steep climb as you start to cycle west towards Cty Rd 10 before crossing over Hgw #115 to Tapley 1/4 Line. Started to drizzle as we cycled north on Tapley with another long climb before a descent to Syer Line. East on Syer up a few moderate hills to Cty Rd 10 at the Hgw #115 intersection. North on Cty Rd 10 to Hgw 7A in Cavan. East on 7A over Hgw #115 to Moore Dr continuing east up 2 more hills followed by a downhill run to Hgw 28 then east on Airport Rd to Bartlett Rd, south to Atchison Rd which connects with Larmer Line returning to Hgw 28. Instead of continuing to cycle east on Larmer ( a 6 km loop) we decided to shorten the ride by  cycling south on Hgw 28 which has a wide paved shoulder to Cedar Valley Rd & the cars having cycled 34 Km. This was a tough ride because of the strong headwinds, drizzle & the cool temperature so really enjoyed relaxing over lunch in the clubhouse.
