13 Dudes turned out for this 40 km ride on an overcast day to participate in the trail celebration hosted by The Township of Smith-Ennismore-Lakefield at 1:00 on the trail beside Lily Lk Rd. There was a slight drizzle as we cycled to Atkinson Rd but the rain stopped by the time we left Atkinson Rd. We cycled together to Emily Park Rd where 7 cyclists continued on the TCT to Omemee. On the return we cycled east from the TCT on Cottingham Rd to Hgw 7 then south for 200 meters on a wide shoulder to Mark’s Fine Diner for lunch (742-8181). Pete Gardner joined us for lunch. After lunch rode back on the Hgw 7 shoulder to Stockdale Rd (the continuation of Cottingham in Smith Twp) & down to the KTCT on Lily Lk Rd for the 1:00 ceremony celebrating the township & The Rotary Club of Peterbotough becoming the managing partners of the 3.5 km section of the KTCT between Atkinson Rd & Hgw 7
