The Liftlock

We had 18 cyclists turn out for today’s ride on a warm sunny summer day. By leaving at 9:00 we avoided the extreme heat & actually enjoyed very pleasant conditions for a bike ride. From Beavermeade we cycled north on the RGWT (Rotary Greenway Trail to Trent U, over the Tollington pedestrian bridge to Nassau Rd. On Nassau Rd we stopped for a look at the Camp Kawartha Environment Centre then cycled east on Nassau Rd up & down the rolling hills to Cty Rd 4 (Warsaw Rd) & the intersection with the Douro 7th Line. We had 2 options, #1 to ride east on Warsaw Rd to Cty Rd 8 into Douro then south on the 4th Line (an additional 10 - 15 km) or #2, the shorter route which we did, south on the 7th Line across Division Rd where the 7th becomes Sweeney Line to the Old Norwood Rd then west to Television Rd, south for 1 km to Maniece Ave & back to Beavermeade for a ride of 26 km.
